THE HALLOW ARE COMING PART 2… (EDINBURGH)

Following the great reception and buzz of Sundance, a new poster and trailer got released (see below) prior to the UK Premiere at the Edinburgh International Film Festival last weekend. It felt very special as 10 years ago, my first short film Butterfly premiered there, and that felt like a big deal, then and now. The audience were fantastic and I saw a few people jump out of their seats. It was also the 40th Anniversary of the release date of JAWS.

An honour and hopefully a good omen…

Here’s some pics and reviews our of Edinburgh. The Hallow’s official release date has been set for Friday 13th of November. “Hallow Friday”.

THE HALLOW ARE COMING PART 1… (SUNDANCE)

I had an experience like no other taking The Hallow to Sundance and to finally sit with an audience and feel their fear and excitement was a raw electric thrill & reminded me what making a movie (a horror movie) is all about.. Edgar Wright introduced the film at it’s World Premiere at the Egyptian Theatre, Park City and I met Slash who graciously told me it was his favourite film of the festival and proceeded to wear my Hallow T-Shirt on stage at Download Festival. Crazy times. Here’s a summary of the reviews and responses it got over there, including reviews, interviews, pics and reportage. I was blown away and pleased that most of everyone seemed to really ‘get’ the movie we made..

THE WOODS

I have been working on my debut feature since 2008, back then it’s original title was The Good People. This April we finally went into production in the wilds of Ireland and began shooting THE WOODS. It was an incredible time spent with some truly incredible people, and maybe, just maybe some monsters..

I am currently in the middle of the editorial process with a release penned for next year.

You can read about it a little here…

Below are a few photos taken during production, though none of these will reveal the darkness and terror that lay deep in THE WOODS…

More of that to come.

FULL STEAM AHOY.

Beauties and Monsters!

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to my all new site. I’ve tried to make this a fun place to hang out and so do have a play and let me know what you think, and any balls-ups should you come across them..

There’s select work, films and music videos, behind the scenes vids and pics, plus all the links to my Twitter, Facebook and Instagram gubbins should you wish to sign up and follow me into battle…

Must thank Ben & Phil for putting this all together for me.

And there’s going to be all kinds of updates occurring on a more regular basis, right here on this blog, as I’m approaching my debut feature and may well use this as an online diary-come-sketchbook, so please watch this space for postings of the filmic kind, as it occurs…

Till then, fare well and adieu.. and please spread the good word.

“Boys, oh boys… I think he’s come back for his noon feeding.”
